It’s Thanksgiving at the Lake House

and the gathering of family

is always equated to love overflowing

and the feeling of closeness . . .

A warm welcome to our family Thanksgiving!!

The greatest fun is coming early

and working together

to make decorations

for the house

As the children became teens,

it became not only a challenge

but fun to outdo themselves

We could see the pride in their eyes

over their original creations

and how could we not “ohh” and “ahh”

over this?

We deemed it strictly stunning !

 cider

Apple cider seemed a unique touch

for toasting before the big meal

and below

the teens have fun finding the right look

for the hors d’oeuvres

The youngest could string the cards I found

so they would feel proud of their own contribution

In late afternoon we gather in the dining room

for lots of telling of the wildest tales,

often laughing until we almost fall off the chairs,

and then — what else – TURKEY!

I have always thought that

involving each member of the family

in making this another Thanksgiving

to remember

will become the unforgettable memories

in years to come.

I am hoping they will.

MAY YOUR THANKSGIVING

BE FILLED WITH JOY AND LOVE
